Antutu benchmark indicate Exynos 5 Octa Galaxy S4 is faster than Qualcomm 600 variant

Samsung is set to deliver three variants of its Galaxy S IV smartphone globally soon, but depending on which market you’re in, you might not be getting the best of the best—as indicated by a recently released Antutu benchmark.

There will be three versions of the Galaxy S IV:
GT-I9500 – Exynos 5 Octa @ 1.6 GHz without LTE
GT-I9505 – Snapdragon 600 @ 1.9 GHz with LTE
SHV – E300S – Exynos 5 Octa @ 1.8 GHz with LTE
Before we get into the benchmark, note that the SHV – E300S and the GT-I9500 both sport the Exynos 5 Octa, but the key difference is Samsung has decided to clock the Korean variant (SHV – E300S) slightly higher than the GT-I9500.  Moreover, the lower clocked GT-I9500 doesn’t have LTE enabled, and are meant for markets that are still reliant on previous-gen data networks.

Moving onto the benchmark, the GT-I9500 (Exynos Octa 5 @ 1.6GHz) got a score of 28018 points in Antutu.  Meanwhile, in a separate benchmark done by GSMArena, the GT-I9505 (Snapdragon 600 @ 1.9GHz) got a score of 23607.  Apparently,
Samsung’s in-house Exynos chip has bested its Qualcomm competitor by a margin when using Antutu as the benchmarking tool.  As for the SHV-E300S, one can imagine the higher clocked Exynos 5 Octa to score a bit higher than the other two variants.
